Al’s Perspective

What does it take to be a high school sports coach? Or, football coach, to be exact. It takes a love of the sport, a love of the game, and a passion for working with kids.

Al’s brother-in-law Jeff Olson has all three, and this weekend led his team, the Ishpeming Hematites to the state football championship.

Article: Ishpeming football team overcomes size mismatch to clinch Division 7 title with 20-14 win over Detroit Loyola (with video)
DETROIT — The word Ishpeming comes from the Chippewa Indian name for “on the summit,” and that’s exactly where the Hematites sit after defeating Detroit Loyola 20-14 in the Division 7 state championship on Saturday at Ford Field.

The bacon mixer was a hit! While in attendance, Galina shared a sneak preview about what 1000 Marbles means to her.

Mastermind Corner

InSights IS

The InSights Group has conducted MasterMind groups since opening the doors in January of 2008. Much of the success and experiences of the group and it’s members can be attributed to some powerful ideas generated by the power of the MasterMind. We have experienced first hand how teaming up with like-minded people will exponentially accelerate success.

If you’d like to find out more about masterminding, or possibly join a group, email us and let us know if you are interested, and the answers to these questions…
1. Why are you interested in joining a Mastermind Group?

2. What success are you seeking that you feel a MasterMind can help you achieve?

3. What would you most appreciate in a MasterMind Group?

Book Corner: The Science of Getting Rich

Outwitting the Devil is a book that was written by Napoleon Hill and annotated by Sharon Lechter. It was originally written in 1938 by Hill, but was said to be too controversial to be published during that time period. It was released by Sterling Publishing in June, 2011.

The book is an interview between Hill (Mr. Earthbound) and The Devil (Your Majesty). Hill uncovers the secrets to freedom and success by evaluating the greatest obstacles that humans face in order to attain their personal goals in life.

Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold co-author Sharon Lechter, this book–now available in paper–is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

“If Ayn Rand paints a picture of self-determination through Atlas Shrugged, Napoleon Hill produces a How-To Guide, inches from what could be a workbook. It is an utterly fascinating read.” – Dan Harris
